US Ambassador to Ukraine Brigit Brink leaves for almost three years of uncertainty about peace talks in Kiev, AP reports.
The State Department confirmed that Brink will leave the post in the near future. The diplomat has been in office since May 2022, that is, he became ambassador during his former President Joe Biden administration.
"He has been a ambassador to Kiev for three years, it is a long time in the military action zone. And, frankly, the war continues too long, "said the State Department.
"The question is whether Russia and Ukraine are ready to do everything necessary to terminate the conflict," he said.
