The Russian delegation was headed by Russian Ambassador to the United States Alexander Darchiyev, the US Deputy Secretary of State for European and Eurasian Affairs Sonata Culbere. The agenda of the meeting was the normalization of the work of the diplomatic missions of the two countries.
According to the State Department, representatives of Moscow and Washington discussed the possibility of organizing a new meeting in the near future, as well as the possibility of providing banking services for the work of diplomatic missions to eliminate the problems in diplomatic relations.
The US foreign policy department described the Istanbul talks constructive.
