The Armenian side has not yet received an invitation to participate in the opening ceremony of St. Gregory the Illuminator Armenian Church in Minsk. In response to the written request of SPUTNIK Armenia, the RA Ministry of Foreign Affairs stated this.
Earlier we wrote that the St. Gregory the Illuminator of Minsk will be consumed in May 2025.
The opening day will be clarified with Catholicos of All Armenians Garegin II, who will attend the opening of the Church with Alexander Lukashenko of Belarus. We also sent a request to the RA Prime Minister's Office, to find out whether Nikol Pashinyan or other high-ranking officials received an invitation to participate in the opening ceremony. If so, who will leave Armenia Minsk?
Instead of the RA Prime Minister's Office, we received the answer from the RA Ministry of Foreign Affairs. "In response, we inform your request that no invitation has been received on this issue," the Foreign Ministry said.
It should be reminded that the Belarusian Foreign Minister Maxim Ryzhenkov said that the construction of the Church is one of the projects that the real relations between Belarus and the Armenian peoples, in counterbalancing against the Belarusian authorities.
It should be noted that about 30,000 Armenians live in Minsk.
