About 73% of the US residents are afraid of the drastic price of foreign products imported by President Donald Trump in the next six months. This is evidenced by the results of a survey conducted by the IPSOS Sociological Center on behalf of Reuters.
According to these data, only 4% of respondents expect price decreases, and 20% do not expect changes. At the same time, 39% of Americans support Trump's tariff policy, while 57% of the country's residents are against it.
Only 10% of the survey participants from the Democratic Party are in accordance with the foreign exchange rate of the new US administration, while 88% of the Democrats are opposite. 73% of respondents among Trump's party members said that he is in favor of customs duties, while 24% of the Republicans oppose them.
The IPSOS query was conducted on April 4-6 and included 1,027 adults. The statistical mistake was 3 percentage points.
