Presidential elections in South Korea are scheduled for June 3


The South Korean government has chosen June 3 as a day of early presidential elections after the approval of Yun Seol Yeol Impeachment. This was reported by Prime Minister Han Deok Sou's office.

Previously, the voting was expected to take place in 60 days to provide more time to politicians.

The duties of the head of state are fulfilled by the Cabinet of Ministers, headed by the Prime Minister.

Government members also announced temporary vacation. The preliminary registration of the presidential candidates started on April 4, the full registration will be completed on May 11, and the election campaign will start on May 12.
