Russia has called on the WTO to give up double standards

The World Health Organization (WHO) must remain depoliticized. Russia calls on member states to avoid a policy of double standards. This is stated in a statement posted on the website of the Russian Foreign Ministry.

The Russian Foreign Ministry noted that in modern conditions, when the world is facing new challenges in the field of healthcare, the WTO's significance increases.

"Russia considers it very important that the activities of the organization remain depolitically, scientifically substantiated and corresponding to all member states," the ministry said.

"Russia calls on all countries to strengthen confidence and transparency in the organization's work, avoid double standards and use its potential to strengthen the health care system and really improve the health of the world's population."
