France and Algeria intend to open a new page in bilateral relations and resume cooperation after a long crisis. This was announced after the meeting with the President of France's European and Foreign Minister Jean-Noel Baro Algerian. After the two and a half-hour meeting, the parties agreed to resume cooperation in "all spheres".
In late July 2024, the Algerian authorities decided to recall their ambassador in France, as Paris recognized the Moroccan program as a only ground for the settlement of the conflict.
