LGBT symbols and marches may be banned in Georgia. According to Georgian Parliament Speaker Shalvi Papuashvili, a relevant initiative was presented to the legislative body.

"There is a legislative proposal to ban LGBT marches and appropriate colored items," he said.

In the near future, the initiative will discuss the Human Rights Commission of the Parliament. The details of the bill are not yet known. The project has not yet been posted on the parliament website.

Recently, there has been a Law on Family Values and Minor Protection. It is not officially called "Law Promoting LGBT Propaganda." In addition to the registration of sexual marriages and same-sex marriage, it prohibits gatherings that can be interpreted as LGBT campaign.
