Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump called Democrat Adam Schiff a "domestic threat" to the United States, saying in an interview with Fox News that "the domestic enemy is more dangerous than China, Russia and other countries."

According to him, "external threats can be faced if you have a competent president", but internal "madmen like Adam Schiff are more difficult to fight". Trump also raised the possibility of using force against those trying to disrupt the November 5 election.
