RA Deputy Minister of Labor and Social Affairs David Khachatryan Participated in the UN "Sustainable, Inclusive, Scientific and Program Solutions in Geneva on April 2-3. At the International Conference on Sustainable Development Agenda and its Sustainable Development Goals.

During the conference, Deputy Minister David Khachatryan made a speech, noting that the Republic of Armenia continued to continue the implementation of the process of ensuring the well-being, sustainable economic growth and human rights protection purposes. In this context, the Deputy Minister emphasized the role of inclusive and qualified healthcare, as well as the work of ensuring flexible social protection services. Within the framework of the conference, David Khachatryan also took part in "Peer Learning Round Table. SDG 5 GENDER EQUALITY "Round table discussion, during which the Armenian government continues to be committed to its commitments to equal and fully participation of women in all spheres of public life, ensuring gender equality, social guarantees, women's and women's equal rights and opportunities.
According to the Deputy Minister, Armenia has ratified the key international documents on gender equality and continues to harmonize national legislation to international obligations. In this context, he stressed the importance of improving the demographic situation in Armenia 2024-2040. In his speech, David Khachatryan also noted that women's economic empowerment continues to be a priority for Armenia, and the state continues to work in the expansion of women's potential, expanding the scope of social guarantees and other directions.
During the event entitled "Bridging The Digital Gender Divide for Women's Economic Empowerment", David Khachatryan spoke about the strengthening of women's and girls to promote gender equality, their role in providing information and communication technologies in ensuring their economic growth and sustainable development.
Emphasizing the importance of the digitalization process, the speaker noted that it allows women living in rural areas the opportunity to develop professional skills, have their own business and provide a stable income. As the best example, David Khachatryan spoke about the Digital Literacy Development Course, which has started jointly with the United Nations Development Program and is designed for women living in residents. It aims to develop the digital skills of the latter, giving the opportunity to use the latest technology, to create digital content and have employment.
