The US authorities hope that thousands of illegal immigrants from Uzbekistan will return their homes or to be deported or imprisoned, US Ambassador Jonathan Henik said on Thursday.
"I think that thousands of Uzbek citizens are illegally in the United States. I would advise those people to return to Uzbekistan on their own, "Henik said in a video message in the Telegram channel.
The diplomat noted that otherwise all illegal immigrants are in prison in the United States or possible deportation.
In recent years, the law enforcement agencies of Uzbekistan regularly report to the discovery of the US illegal emigration of the United States through the territory of Turkey, CIS countries, South America and Mexico.
In November 2023, the US Embassy in the Republic announced that Washington will deport the illegal immigrants entering Uzbekistan from Uzbekistan.
Exports are carried out by commercial airlines and charter missions under the contract with the US Immigration and Customs Service.
