The first multifunctional F-16 Block 70 fighter arrived in Bulgaria from the United States, Bulgarian National Radio (BNR) reported.

The Bulgarian authorities in the United States of $ 1.26 billion eight F-16 Block fighters came into force in July 2019.

The fighter landed in the Graf-Ignatyevo air base in the Plovdiv region of Plovdiv, South Bulgaria. Prime Minister Rosen Jellazkov, Minister of Defense Atanas Zapryanov and other officials gathered at the air base to meet the plane.

The official ceremony is scheduled for April 12.
