The number of large and small cattle registered in Armenia has decreased


As of January 1, 2025, 475,835 large animals were registered in the country, which decreased by 3.2% as of the same time last year.

As reported by Armenpress, this is evidenced by the statistical committee. As of January 1, the number of cows registered in 201281, which decreased by 4.7% compared to the same period last year.  The number of pigs decreased by 2.5%, making 182 thousand 315.

The number of small cattle has also decreased. As of January 1, the number of sheep was 668 thousand 368, decreasing by 3.2%. As of January 1, the number of registered goats amounted to 17,382, decreasing by 10.8%.
