The British authorities will take a calm and restrained approach in response to the expected customs duties in the United States, and the government does not intend to set customs duties in response to Washington's actions, said British Prime Minister Kir Starmer.
According to him, no one wants a commercial war, while the necessary starmer has announced the need for national interests.
"And that means that all options must remain on the table," the British Prime Minister added.
He noted that negotiations on economic agreement with Washington to mitigate US customs duties have significantly progressed during weeks, although such a thing usually takes months or years.
