In 2024, 40,2,232 cases of crime were registered in the Republic of Armenia (40,666 cases), 18,397 (20,231 in 202, in 2023), in Yerevan. Compared to 2023, the cases of crime decreased by 434 or 1.1%.
According to the Prosecutor's Office's 2024 activities, cases of moderate crimes have decreased in 2024. In particular, the cases of medium-gravity decreased by 595 or 12,848 cases, and in 2024, severe crimes fell by 598 or 9.8% (5518 cases), and more than 5518 cases increased by 422 or 25.1% (2023. Along with the decrease in cases of crime, in 2024, it was increased by 3.4% to the crime revelation index.
According to the Information Center of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the revelation rate in 2024 was 22.1%, compared to 18.7% in 2023.
