Latvian Foreign Minister Bayba Brazil said that the country's authorities do not rule out the possibility of sending peacekeepers to Ukraine, but so far it is "it's secret information."
"We are ready to provide long-term military assistance to Ukraine at least 0.25% of GDP every year," he said in an interview with Spanish EL PAÍS.
Answering the question whether Latvia is ready to send troops to Ukraine within the framework of a hypothetic peacekeeping mission, the diplomat noted.
"We have a large amount of frozen Russian assets in Europe," the Minister clarified. According to him, Russia must pay for the restoration of Ukraine. The brazing was also asked whether it would be possible to stop the conflict this year. "Yes, but we are realistic," replied the Foreign Minister.
