The European Parliament's Rapporteur on Turkey Nacho Sanchez Amorn touched upon the arrest and arrest of the "People Democratic" party (CHP-PACE). Amor described the arrest of Imamoglu as one of the biggest strikes against Turkey's democracy and noted that it is one of the biggest dangers for Turkey to have a future in Europe.
