Dushanben and Bishkek exchanged documents for the ratification of the border agreement

The Presidents of Tajikistan and Kyrgyzstan Emomali Rahmon and Syrian Jambitov signed a protocol for the exchange of documents for ratification of the border agreement between the two countries. The ceremony took place at the administrative center of Tajikistan in the administrative center, Khujand, according to TASS correspondent.

On March 13, Rakhko and Japkov signed a border agreement in Bishkek after almost 23 years of negotiations between the republics. Later it was reported by the parliaments of the two countries.

The length of Kyrgyzstan and Tajikistan border is about 980 km. Negotiations on its demarcation continue since December 2002.
