The Prime Minister of Myanmar has declared national mourning from March 31 to April 6

Myanmar's Prime Minister Min Auni Hlaing has declared a nationwide mourning in the country due to the deaths of more than 1.7 thousand people due to the earthquake. This was reported by the MRTV TV channel.

From March 31 to April 6, a day of national mourning was announced, the decree said.

A powerful earthquake shook the March 28 in Myanmar. According to the Thailand Meteorological Department, its intensity was 7.9 magnitude. Thailand was also affected by the earthquake, and the tremors were felt in China and Vietnam.

In order to eliminate the consequences of the disaster, the Russian Ministry of Emergency Situations sent three special plane, rescuers, dogs and doctors, as well as aviation hospital.
