The death toll from the Myanmar earthquake has increased


The number of victims of the earthquake in Myanmar exceeded 1,600, more than 3,400 were wounded, and 139 were missing, Xinhua reports, citing data of the country's authorities.
Earlier it was reported that 1002 people were killed and 2376 were injured in the quake.

"According to the information group of the State Administrative Council, 1644 people were killed and 3408 were injured in the powerful earthquake in Myanmar, 139," the statement said.

A magnitude 7.7 earthquake shook Myanmar on Friday, which was felt in five neighboring countries, including Thailand.
