Spain Prime Minister Pedro Sanchez expressed confidence that in the future the European Union will be able to create community armed forces.
"From the European side, we must take a step towards integration," said the Prime Minister, speaking at the forum held in Madrid. He stated that he is convinced that in the future the EU will "reach the European Armed Forces".
"Because if we do it, I am sure that our restraint potential will be greater," said the Prime Minister. "This will be very important so that we can guarantee multilateral order, respect for international law, the protection of international humanitarian law and, therefore, prosperity."
Speaking about the responsibilities announced by the United States, Sanchez called on the US administration to reconsider his position, to have a dialogue with Brussels and "stop that nonsense."
