Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan had a telephone conversation with Russian President Vladimir Putin. Bilateral relations, regional and global issues, including the settlement of the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict, have been discussed after the results of the talks stated by the administration of the Turkish leader.
"During the conversation, bilateral relations between Turkey and Russia, regional and global issues were discussed. President Erdogan noted that Turkey's cooperation is key to solving regional issues, which is closely following the process, Turkey is ready to provide any support, including the organization of peaceful and lasting peace, "the statement said.
"President Erdogan has stated that the well-thought-out steps will be taken to ensure the security of commercial navigation in the Black Sea, and that Turkey continues to do itself to prevent the Black Sea into a conflict zone."
During the telephone conversation, Erdogan also said that Ankara attaches great importance to cooperation with Russia on Syria.
