Istanbul mayor Ekim Imamoglu, who represents the opposition People's Academy of Sciences, has been arrested. The mayor was taken to court accompanied by police, CNN Türk reports.
According to the TV channel, Murad Onguni, including the arrest of 100 people, including the Adviser to Murad Ongun, and the mayor's press advisor to the investigation against Imamoglu. Changes were carried out at the Imamoglu's residence in the Sariere district.
It should be noted that the main political opponent of the incumbent President of Turkey Recep Tayyip Erdogan in the upcoming presidential election was sent to Istanbul's university's authenticity and legality only.
