Turkish Treasury and Minister of Finance Mehmet Shimsheck had a telephone conversation with US Minister of Finance Scott Besent.
Shimshk congratulated him on assuming his post. The telephone conversation lasted about 30 minutes and the parties discussed issues related to the further development of economic cooperation between Turkey and the United States.
The ministers agreed to meet at the very first opportunity to meet.
It is envisaged that the parties will meet within the framework of the IMF International Foundation-World Bank's Spring Meetings, which will take place in Washington in late April.
