The officials of the government of Afghanistan, which was formed by the movement of the radical Taliban, banned women's voices on radio. This was reported by the Afghan journalists' Center (AFJC), citing the statement of the authorities.
"Women's voice is strictly forbidden by radio, as well as publication of women's messages during entertainment programs," the AFJC quoted the document. It is noted that the document also requires all the employees of the radio station a special permit from the local authorities to prepare reports in the state.
According to the Afghan journalists' center, the Kandahar has become the second Afghan state after Hilmand, where the Taliban has completely banned women's voice appearance during radio programs.
