Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan had a telephone conversation with US President Donald Fresal. During the telephone conversation, the Presidents also discussed regional and global issues. The Turkish President also stressed that they support Trump's initiative steps towards the end of the Russian-Ukrainian conflict.
Erdogan expressed his full conviction that the United States and Turkey as two allies will continue their cooperation in the new period of solidarity, sincerity and outcome.
The Turkish President also touched upon the Syrian issue and stressed that the role of the United States in the restoration of that country, the cancellation of sanctions against Syria, will give the Syrians return to their country.
President Erdogan noted that steps from the United States are expected to fight terrorism in the new region, taking into account the interests of Turkey's interests. It is emphasized that the "Caatsa" sanctions must be suspended, to complete the process of purchasing "F-16" fighters and finalize Turkey's participation in the F-35 program to develop cooperation between the two countries in the military industry.
