New Zealand has extended anti-Russian sanctions until March 2028

New Zealand has extended sanctions on the Russian Federation until March 17, 2028. The relevant order of the country's Foreign Ministry is contained in a letter received by TASS.

"The New Zealand government has extended the sanctions consumed against Russia on March 17, 2007 for another three years. The decision to extend the restrictions was made on Friday, March 14, and entered into force today, "the statement said.

The department reminded that the anti-Russian sanctions of New Zealand "put a number of obligations to all the citizens of this country, blocking or limiting certain types of activities related to the Russian Federation."

Residents of New Zealand also "demand to express any suspicious activity" that may be related to trade and economic relations with Russia.

From March 2022, the New Zealand authorities have restricted Russian enterprises and citizens more than 35 times, and that the local parliament has even adopted a special law to facilitate implementation of such procedures.
