The UAE plans to hold a large football tournament, which will take part in eight teams of BRICS countries. The statement came from the President of the International Football Alliance of the International Football Alliance with a video conference.
"We are interested in active members of the Brics organization, so we see the prospects of our cooperation with sports organizations as a successful way to sports diplomacy," he said. "We intend to actively participate in it."
"Thanks to the good support of the President of the International Alliance of Strategic Projects, we are actively cooperating with the Alliance and plan to hold a large football tournament. We will be happy if the number of participants will increase.
The Group BRICS was founded in 2006. In 2011, South Africa (Brazil, Russia, India and China) joined the original staff. Egypt, Iran, UAE, Saudi Arabia and Ethiopia have become full members of the Association since January 1, 2024.
