Musk uses business strategies to support Trump, writes NYT

American entrepreneur and billionaire Elon Musk is applying his business strategies as part of a campaign to support Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump, the New York Times writes, citing sources.

Politico previously reported that Musk plans to take a more active role in Trump's election campaign, including in the swing state of Pennsylvania, which could bring the ex-president 19 electoral votes at once.

"Set in a conference room in Pittsburgh with a team of lawyers, public relations specialists, polling experts and longtime friends, Musk tries to apply the strategies and entrepreneurial lessons from his business to a high-pressure political mission," the publication said.

The newspaper, citing Musk's colleagues and friends, writes that the entrepreneur is using a strategy similar to the one he used during other crisis situations. The billionaire, according to the publication, believes that in order for Trump to win the election, all available forces must be used.

According to the newspaper, Musk has actually moved his office to Pennsylvania - to a state that, in his opinion, is key to Trump's election victory.

In private, Musk talks obsessively, almost manically, about what's at stake in the election and how Trump must win. The publication’s source, who recently spoke with Musk, described how during the conversation the entrepreneur allegedly said, without a hint of irony, that he “loves Trump.” The publication writes that Musk communicates with Trump several times a week.
