The Russian-Ukrainian conflict, which today, is one of the priority and most discussed issues of the international agenda, in particular the most discussed issues of the Russian-American talks, has deeper roots than three years of bloody, cruel and lethal war.
There are both Russian-Ukrainian ethnic differences and crystallization component of Ukrainian identity, and the geopolitical component.
It is no coincidence that the main reason for Ukrainian's contradictions with Moscow is the aspirations of the Euro-Atlantic integration of Kyiv. By and large, the Ukrainian conflict was part of the geopolitical confrontation between the West and Russia or one of its manifestations.
Now the new leader of the leading state of West is told by the Ukrainian leadership that it is time to end this conflict because it is fraught with the danger of World War II.
