Putin will meet with Abkhazia President Gunba in the Kremlin

On March 5, Russian President Vladimir Putin will meet with Abkhazia's elected President Badha Gunba in the Kremlin. Dmitry Peskov, spokesman for the Russian leader Dmitry Peskov stated at a briefing about the event.

"In the afternoon, it will be found in the Kremlin with elected President of Abkhazia Gunba," Peskov said.

On March 2, Putin sent a congratulatory telegram to Gunba, in which he hoped to strengthen the friendship between Russia and Abkhazia.

According to the results of the second round of the presidential elections in Abkhazia, Gunba received 56.85% of the vote, not counting the voices given to the "Against All" column and to win the presidential race.

His opponent Adgur Arpress has received 43.15%.
