The Prime Minister of Australia may consider sending peacekeepers to Ukraine

The Prime Minister of Australia Anthony Albaniz has said that it is possible to send peacekeepers to Ukraine, the Australian ABC TV channel reports. "From my government's point of view, we are ready to discuss any proposal in the future," Albaniz said.

The Prime Minister stressed that Australia is "ready to help" Ukraine. He also noted that Australian peacekeepers have played a role in stabilizing several other foreign countries in recent decades.

"Australia has played a historically important role in areas such as Africa, Cyprus, in a number of peacekeeping areas," Albaniz explained.
