Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry spokesman Aykhan Hajizade responded to the statement of the UN High Commissioner for Human Rights Volker Turk on immediate release of Armenian captives, noting that those responsible for serious crimes should be held accountable to achieve justice.
"Only with the revelation of the truth and the elimination of the consequences of crimes will win the impunity," Hajizade said.
It should be reminded that during the 58th session of the Human Rights Council in Geneva, Volker Turk stated that he was following all the persons held in Azerbaijan, including the issue of Armenians, and their rights to a fair trial should be fully respectful.
