Iranian Vice President Mohammad Javad Zarif has resigned, IRNA reports.
"A number of sources close to the government have confirmed that Mohammad Javad Zarif, Vice President of Strategic Affairs, resigned to Massoud Pezeshki," the agency said in a statement.
The news that Zarif resigned appeared in the background of the messages that the deputies of the Iranian parliament voted for the impeachment of the Minister of Economy Abdoluir Hemati by a majority.
The decision of the parliament on the import of the Minister's impeachment states Hemmati's inability to resolve economic content issues, of which the main one has become "inflation and financial instability."
