Putin expanded visa-free regime for Georgia


President Vladimir Putin expanded the visa-free regime to Georgian citizens entering Russia for work or for a period of more than 90 days; the corresponding decree was posted on the portal for the official publication of legal acts.

""Make the following changes: a) from the first paragraph, delete the word "from May 15, 2023"; b) from subparagraph "a" the words "except for citizens entering Russia for the purpose of carrying out work activities or for a period of more than 90 days for temporary stay in Russia, including for the purpose of obtaining an education, is excluded,” the document says.

Amendments are being made to the presidential decree “On the procedure for Georgian citizens entering Russia and leaving Russia” dated May 10, 2023.
The document came into force on the day of signing - October 10.
