US President Donald Trump plans to radically reduce the State Department, leaving less diplomats, less embassies and a narrower framework, reports that Politico citing informed sources.
According to the publication, the Trump administration intends to focus on the work of the department as the signing of transaction government agreements, ensuring US security and the promotion of foreign investment in America.
"The changes are marked by the reconstruction of the historical department, the work and scope of which have expanded its efforts to strengthen US influence abroad to protect people from hackers to disability," Politico writes.
