The role of the EU in the Russian-Ukrainian settlement talks is ruled out, Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Alexander Grusko stated.
According to him, if Europe wants to help in Ukraine to establish peace, let it stop the supply of weapons to Kiev. The Deputy Foreign Minister also stressed that Moscow has a negative attitude towards the deployment of European peacekeepers in Ukraine, calling it an escalating step. Grushko added that now nothing is evidenced by the possible improvement of Europe-Russia relations.
Earlier, the US President's Special Envoy Keik Kelog has said that the physical presence of Europeans at the RUSSIA-Ukrainian settlement table is not expedient. At the same time, he noted that the interests of the European side will be taken into account.
