Israeli army records missile launches from Lebanon

The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) recorded about 25 launches of shells fired from Lebanon into the northern territories of Israel, some of the shells were intercepted by air defense systems, the rest fell in open areas, the army press service reported on Tuesday. "After the air raid sirens sounded at 11.09 and at 11.11 (the time coincides with Moscow time – ed.) in the Lower Galilee region, about 25 shells were discovered fired from Lebanon into Israeli territory,” the report says.

The press service added that some of the shells were intercepted by air defense systems, while the rest fell in open areas.
Since October 1, Israel has been conducting a ground operation against Hezbollah forces in southern Lebanon and continues aerial bombing of the neighboring country, where more than a thousand people have already died, including leaders of the Shiite movement, and more than 346 thousand have become refugees. Despite losses, including in the command staff, Hezbollah is conducting ground battles and does not stop rocket attacks on Israeli territory.

The main goal of the military campaign in Israel is to create conditions for the return of 60 thousand residents of the north who were evacuated due to the shelling launched by Hezbollah a year ago in support of the Palestinian movement Hamas.
