President of the Republic of Armenia Vahagn Khachaturyan received Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Islamic Republic of Iran to Armenia Mehdi Sobhani.
The President of the Republic welcomed the Ambassador and, on his behalf, congratulated the Iranian people and high leadership on the 46th anniversary of the victory of the Islamic Revolution and wished them success and prosperity.
During the meeting, the parties discussed issues related to the development of bilateral relations between Armenia and Iran, as well as emphasized the importance of expanding partnership and cooperation between the two countries. Special attention was paid to the progress in the implementation of joint programs in the economic, cultural and transport sectors.
President Khachaturyan and Ambassador Sobhani emphasized the need to strengthen and expand close ties between the two countries, as well as the importance of investing continuous efforts aimed at further developing bilateral cooperation, which is consistent with the high level of mutual understanding and mutually beneficial cooperation between the two countries.
