On February 6, a official reception dedicated to the 33rd anniversary of the formation of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Armenia took place at the Tbilisi Hotel.
This was reported by the RA Embassy in Georgia. In his congratulatory message, the Ambassador of the Republic of Armenia Ashot Smbatyan touched upon the process of formation and establishment of the army, noting from the first day of its formation. From January 28, the army has taken over its function of Armenia's independence, sovereignty and territorial integrity.
The Ambassador also touched upon the development and modernization of the Armed Forces, noting that Armenia is consistently working to increase the fighting of the Armed Forces, to improve the social conditions of servicemen and modernize military equipment.
Georgian Deputy Defense Minister Paata Patiashvili and RA military attaché Mesrop Nazaryan also made a welcoming speech.
The event was attended by Georgian Defense Forces Deputy Commander Irakli Chichinadze, high-ranking representatives of law enforcement agencies, heads of diplomatic missions accredited in Georgia, military attachés and representatives of the Armenian community.
The event was performed by the director of the Music College after Romanos Melikyan, the director of the Yerevan Music College, and Ashot Petrosyan, head of the college's folk instruments.
