President of Cyprus Nikos Christodulidis has confirmed that he received a threatening message. This was reported by SIGMA TV.
"I confirm the fact of what happened and trust the authorities of the Republic of Cyprus," said Christodulidis.
The President of Cyprus also stressed that he does not want to increase anything else in connection with this issue.
According to SIGMA, the President of the Republic received threatening messages to personal phone two days ago.
The sender's identity is not known.
Later, the Cypriot authorities found out that the message was sent from prison by one of the prisoners.
In connection with that, a search was conducted at the Central State of the prison.
