We are not losing hope, we are trying to be strong. We look forward to the end of the trial. Son of Davit Babayan

The so-called "trial" of Armenian prisoners and hostages continues in Baku. The prosecutor's office of Azerbaijan has brought serious charges against the former officials of Artsakh, from terrorism to the formation of illegal armed groups.

And since the "trial" took place in an "open mode", the media of that country published photos in which the public saw the former presidents of Artsakh, former minister of state, businessman Ruben Vardanyan and other captured former officials of Artsakh who are illegally held in Azerbaijani prisons.

Relatives of the captured are also following the course of the "trial". Tigran, the son of former Foreign Minister Davit Babayan, told MediaHub that he does not know any other details, except what is published in the media of the enemy country.

"At the preparatory court session on January 17, lawyers and translators were provided. In general, like my father, others have their own lawyers. We did not talk after January 17, I am not aware of other details, I only learned from the news that the charges against my father are lighter. Therefore, let's wait for the end of the trial and see what will happen. In any case, we don't lose hope, we try to be strong," said Tigran Babayan.

Let's remind that 23 Armenians are still being held in Azerbaijani prisons, including 16 people captured by Azerbaijan as a result of the military attack on Artsakh on September 19, 2023. Others ended up in Baku prison after the war of 2020 and during the siege of Artsakh in 2022.
