Ishkhan Saghatelyan, representative of the Supreme Body of the ARF, deputy of the "Hayastan" alliance, published the statement of the ARF Bureau.
"In light of the current geopolitical developments, the security threats around Armenia are becoming more immediate and dangerous day by day. The Armenian-hating, bellicose and expansionist statements and steps of the Azerbaijani leadership are becoming more and more outrageous and turning into ultimatums.
Taking advantage of the geopolitical instability and having the unconditional and full support of Turkey, multiplying its military capabilities, Azerbaijan is trying to force Armenia to meet destructive demands, be it with the agreement of the current administration of Armenia or by unleashing a new war.
The authorities of Armenia, in their turn, terrorizing their own people with the possibility of an imminent war and the inevitable defeat in that war, have committed themselves to justifying and satisfying the endless demands of the Turkish-Azerbaijani tandem. Accordingly, the essence of the best tactics offered by this regime to avoid war is defeatism and concessions for the sake of the perceived peace, the "guarantor" of which will actually be the Turkish-Azerbaijani tandem.
There is no need to have illusions. an unprotected peace is a seeming security surrendered to the favor of the enemy. Peace can be irreversible and stable only in the conditions of a fair settlement of disputed issues and military-political balance. Otherwise, it is capitulation and the embryo of a new war.
The historical mission of the Armenian people and its national forces is to get rid of the destructive dilemma of capitulation or war and to establish a real, irreversible and just peace. The renunciation of our irrevocable rights and vital interests will not bring peace, but the loss of Armenian identity and statehood.
In order to avoid further irreversible losses and to overcome the existential challenges faced by Armenia, it is necessary to make a breakthrough in the situation, forming a new quality government and establishing a national state roadmap for the country's development. There is an urgent need to radically change the government's policy in the following priority directions: a) Preservation of Armenian identity and Armenian statehood implementation of a pan-Armenian military movement around the agenda.
Contributing to the Turkish denial of the Armenian Genocide, leaving the ethnic cleansing and depatriation of the people of Artsakh without consequence is an existential threat to the Armenian identity, the sovereignty of Armenia and validates the precedent of solving issues from the position of strength.
b) To make the urgent reconstruction of the army and the defense and security systems a priority agenda of the Pan-Armenian government, taking into account the existing challenges, with the logic of ensuring popular participation in defense. with countries and alliances pursuing common geopolitical goals, in whose direct interests the existence of a viable Armenian state derives alliance relations, sign a military-political alliance with Iran, develop complementary relations with other power centers outside the region and the West.
Against internal and external conspiracy plans, the fight for the dignity and existence of the Armenian people must continue. We call on all national forces to unite their efforts to remove the anti-national authorities, neutralize the threats to the Armenian people and our statehood, form a new quality national government and build a strong Armenia with pan-Armenian capabilities. Dashnaktsutyun is ready to cooperate with everyone who shares these approaches and is ready to fight for a dignified and safe Armenia and Artsakh.
