The Bulgarian Parliament has elected Rosen Zhelyazkov as the new Prime Minister

People's Assembly deputy Rosen Zhelyazkov, who represents the coalition of the "Citizens for European Development" party with the Union of Democratic Forces (GERB - SDS), was elected as the Prime Minister of the Republic. The broadcast was carried out on the Parliament's website.

125 deputies representing GERB - SDS, "Bulgarian Socialist Party - United Left" coalition, "There is such a people" party and "Democracy, Rights and Freedoms - DPS" coalition voted for Zhelyazkov. 114 deputies were against, there were no abstentions. The deputies expressed the same support to the new 19 ministers.

After the vote, the full composition of the government was sworn in and will begin its duties in the next few hours.
