Foreign Minister of Latvia. NATO troops are not ready to participate in the Ukrainian battles

The armed forces of NATO countries are not ready to participate in military operations in Ukraine, said the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Latvia, Baiba Brazhe.
According to Braje, the possible presence of EU troops in Ukraine will lead to an escalation for Europe, which it avoids.

In December 2024, Reuters reported that European countries are discussing the issue of sending a military contingent to Ukraine, which could be up to 100,000 soldiers, in case of a ceasefire or peace. Reuters sources also reported that Kiev is conducting negotiations on this topic with the Nordic and Baltic countries.

Russian President Vladimir Putin has repeatedly emphasized that the supply of new weapons to Kiev will not change the situation on the front, but will only lead to the prolongation of the conflict.
