Political scientist Hakob Badalyan writes:
In my morning post, I touched upon the question of what level of document will be signed in Washington, because the statement that a strategic partnership document will be signed is very general.
In fact, what is being signed is neither an agreement nor a declaration, but a commission charter. In other words, it would be a stretch to say that Armenia and the USA are strategic partners anymore.
In comparison, it would be almost the same as saying that by signing the charter of the demarcation and demarcation commissions between Armenia and Azerbaijan, it means that Armenia and Azerbaijan are no longer demarcated and demarcated states.
Accordingly, despite its importance, we should perhaps not create a wrong impression among the public and record that it is just about the charter of the committee on strategic partnership issues.
And the Armenian-American strategic partnership, according to everything, should still be the result of the work of that commission."
