North Korea's missiles flew about 250 kilometers before falling into the sea, South Korea's Joint Chiefs of Staff said.
Earlier it was reported that the DPRK fired several short-range ballistic missiles from the Kange region of Chagando province towards the (East) Sea of Japan.
"The North Korean missiles flew approximately 250 kilometers and then fell into the Sea of Japan," OKNS said.
The South Korean and US militaries are said to have detected the DPRK's missile launch preparations in advance and "immediately" followed them at the time of launch
with the United States and Japan and are analyzing the details of the missile launch.
