Under the leadership of Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan and President of the Republic Vahagn Khachaturyan, a consultation was held in Ijevan dedicated to the development prospects of the RA economy.
Executive, legislative members and heads of autonomous bodies took part in the consultation.
At the beginning of the consultation, the Prime Minister noted that today they will discuss issues of a strategic nature related to the economic development of Armenia, which refer to the priorities of the directions of economic development, and of course, the agenda of reforms that will contribute to the further economic development of our country.
"I have had occasion to say that when we talk about the state interest of the Republic of Armenia, we should have the interest of the economic development of the Republic of Armenia at the core, because in my understanding, I have thought a lot about this topic, in order to specify what the state interest is, and the economic development itself is in my opinion, because I do not find and do not think that there is a more specific and more accurate correspondence.
This, by the way, is also very important for our perception of foreign policy and geopolitics," said Nikol Pashinyan. "When you try to understand geopolitics more and more, you understand that the basis of it is the economy, and the basis of the economy is the need for the well-being of every citizen, because states are based on the well-being of their citizens. Absolutely everything that states do is to serve for the well-being of their citizens. Otherwise, the state has no meaning. And all the other policies are built on the need for well-being. security.

During the consultation, issues related to involvement in global value chains, foreign trade diversification, export concentration by products, business support tools, capital market development, increasing the level of investments, capital expenditures, infrastructure development, ensuring productive growth were discussed.
Topics related to ensuring sustainable economic growth, ensuring inclusive economic growth, digitalization of state services, development of various sectors were addressed.
An exchange of ideas took place on the above-mentioned issues, the participants of the consultation shared their opinions, observations and recommendations. All the members of the government outlined the priorities of their actions for the current year, which are derived from the five-year plan of the government. In several speeches, the ideological issue was raised and it was noted that when discussing the economy, the ideological issue is often left out.
Moreover, this happens for both objective and subjective reasons. "Communist ideology has its economic model, the Scandinavian theory of socialism has its model, there is the American model, and I think we should have our own model, which is based on be on political ideology. And I want to return again to the ideology and concept of Real Armenia.
We had an opportunity to discuss, and I raised this question mainly in the discussions with the KGMS, what is the cultural ideology of Real Armenia.
But we should ask this question to all sectors. What is the real Armenia's economic policy, what is the foreign policy? We have to go through all areas and we have to ask this question in all our policies," said Nikol Pashinyan, adding that in the meantime, the ideology of Real Armenia should be developed and formulated as a more systematic political ideology.

Speeches are of great and essential importance to the economy, and sometimes the modern economy is considered to be a discourse economy , therefore, as the Government, we must form a development discourse here as well.
We as a political body should think about this, because some of the numbers and graphs are related to the mood we create in the country," the head of the country stressed. Referring to the priorities of the departments, Nikol Pashinyan noted:
"First of all, digitization should be one of the three main things to do. Therefore, I consider the peace process to be a priority for me, and I also consider digitization to be a priority for me, and the third is the fight against corruption."
