Yerevan Mayor's Press Secretary Hayk Kostanyan writes:
"Dear citizens of Yerevan, as you know, in 2025 The new tariffs, which are part of the unified ticket system, will be effective from January 1. In order to make the transition period as easy as possible, until February 1st, the possibility to buy a ticket through the Telcell Wallet electronic wallet and Telcell payment terminals at the following rates:
● for bus and metro: 100 drams,
● for a trolleybus: AMD 50. In order to be ready to use public transport services from February 1, we would like to introduce you to the steps you need to take today.
How to prepare for the unified payment system with new tariffs through the Transport.yerevan.am website you can:
1. get to know and choose the most affordable ticket packages for you and your relatives,
2. check the availability of the privilege by entering the public service number and date of birth,
3. purchase the new ticket package today by attaching it to your physical bank or transport card, which has the possibility of contactless payment.
Before purchasing a ticket package, check that:
.1. the validity period of the physical bank card in which you want to top up the ticket package does not expire before the expiration of the ticket package,
2. The physical bank card has the possibility of contactless payment. It is also important to note that payments with Apple Pay or Google Pay do not activate the ticket package, as it is only available on the physical card.

2. go through online authentication,
3. in case of confirmation of belonging to a privileged group, tickets will be available at preferential prices. For those citizens who have difficulties using a computer or mobile phone and are beneficiaries of the group of privileges, starting from 08.01.2025, every day from 10:00 to 21:00 Telcell company service points will be open (addresses you can find out through the website transport.yerevan.am).
Through service points you can
.1. get a transport card,
2. undergo person identification to verify access to the privilege, 3. in case of confirmation of access to the privilege, purchase a ticket package by attaching it to a bank or transport card with the possibility of physical contactless payment. To buy a ticket with a privilege, you need to approach service points with an identity document and a public service license plate.
A guarantee amount of AMD 500 is paid when purchasing a transport card.
You can get the money back if you return the card. The return must be made at Telcell service points.
When purchasing a new transport card, it should be taken into account that it will be activated after attaching a ticket package to it
within 3 hours.
Also, we request and urge those persons who can purchase the packages online by themselves or with the help of another person, to show care towards the citizens who do not have this opportunity and not to overload the service offices in order to avoid the formation of queues.
Let us also inform you that in the next few days, the service of privileged groups will also be carried out in the buildings of the administrative regions (district administrations), the details of which will be published additionally.
In the coming days, we will also announce the ways for non-privileged persons to purchase new ticket packages.
