Seven airplanes, 16 helicopters, 35 ground vehicles, 11 water trucks and four bulldozers were involved in the firefighting operations. Two night vision helicopters also arrived at the fire area after dark. Large forest fires break out annually in Turkey in the summer. In 2023, the fires spread to several provinces. Russia sent two Be-200NS aircraft to help extinguish the fires.
